Getting the Most Value From Your Ecigarette Cartridge
E-Cigarette cartridges are still very much in vogue with beginner vapers as they are easy to use, easy to replace and the best brands offer excellent flavors and vapor production. If you are partial to these cig-alikes, don’t be intimidated by vapers who flaunt their monster vaporizers. They may blow vapor clouds larger than yours, but you don’t have to put in as much effort keeping your ecig in top condition and enjoying your vape.
That said. Here are some very helpful tips for making your e-cigarette cartridges last longer while keeping them more flavorful with full vapor production.
Getting the Most Value From Your E-Cig Cartridge
#1 – If you know you won’t be vaping for a while, remove the cartridge from your electronic cigarette. Store it in a cool dark place; in fact, you can even store it in the refrigerator, but never in the freezer. Always let carts get to room temperature before vaping so they don’t get “shocked” by the heat of the built-in atomizer.
#2 – Do you take more than 15 puffs in one vaping session? You’re certainly not alone! Some days I have a hard time remembering when I’m not vaping.
#3 – A good rule of thumb is to switch out your cartridge every so often, so the first one gets to rest from the heat and allows the liquid to disperse. Switching flavors also gives your taste buds a rest.
#4 – I’m guilty of using my hands while I vape without putting my ecig down. Not a pretty sight having your vaporizer gripped between your teeth. Your ecigarette doesn’t approve either, because your breath can cause the liquid to seep into the battery and that can be damaging.
#5 – On a similar note, don’t blow into your cartridge. I don’t know why you would do that in the first place unless you think cartridges can get clogged. They can’t. Cartridges are not like eGo style tanks and clearomizers which benefit when you blow in them if you need to clear out excess e-liquids. Blowing into traditional e-cigarette cartridges will either damage them or flood the battery with liquid.
#6 – Many people replace the cartridge with a fresh one if vapor diminished, but don’t be too hasty. It could be that your battery needs re-charging. The usual sign for a change of cartridge is when the flavor diminishes or you get a slightly burnt taste.
#7 – It’s tempting, but don’t refill your regular ecig cartridge with eliquid. It’s not only messy, you can easily overfill it, and depending on the thickness of the eliquid, it can destroy your battery along with your cartridge. If you’re ready to drip eliquid, congratulations. Get a high quality beginner vaporizer from DirectVapor or Vaporfi. Use your regular ecig and cartridge as a back up when your eliquid tanks are being cleaned.
#8 – When your ecigarette cartridge is finished, don’t toss it. E-cigarette carts can be recycled which is very green indeed. Simply visit Call2recycle.org to find the nearest drop-off location. They have over 30,000 drop-off locations in North America.
